The Gay Games is the world's largest LGBTQI+ sporting and cultural event, held every four years in a different host city. Founded in San Francisco in 1982, the Games welcome all participants regardless of athletic ability, sexual orientation, or gender identity — with the motto 'Participation, Inclusion, Personal Best'. Each edition draws tens of thousands of athletes and artists from around the world.
