Whistler Pride & Ski Festival is a week-long LGBTQ+ celebration on one of North America's biggest mountains. Since the early 1990s it has grown into one of the largest queer ski weeks in the world, drawing skiers, snowboarders and partygoers from across Canada, the US and further afield. The 2027 festival runs from Sunday 24 to Sunday 31 January.
Days are spent on Whistler Blackcomb's two mountains, with guided group skiing and snowboarding for different levels, mountain meet-ups and the festival's signature ski-down. The Peak 2 Peak Gondola means you can cover both mountains in a day.
The week is known for its party programme: daily après, pool parties and large-scale night-time dance events with international DJs. A festival pass covers the main events, and individual tickets are available for many parties. There's also a programme of quieter social events, including community gatherings and comedy.
If you're not skiing, Whistler has snowshoeing, ziplining, spas and a lively pedestrian village full of restaurants and bars, so non-skiers have plenty to do.
Fly into Vancouver (YVR) and take the Sea-to-Sky Highway north, about 2–2.5 hours by car or shuttle. Staying in Whistler Village keeps you close to the lifts and most festival venues. Festival week is busy, so book early.
Whistler Pride & Ski Festival 2027 runs 24–31 January in Whistler, British Columbia. Passes and the schedule are at whistlerpride.com.
