Taiwan Pride (Taiwan LGBT Pride) is the largest Pride event in Asia — a parade through central Taipei that draws over 130,000 participants, reflecting Taiwan's status as the most LGBTQ+-progressive society in Asia and the first territory in Asia to legalise same-sex marriage (2019).
The parade marches through Taipei's Ketagalan Boulevard and surrounding streets in late October, with a festival at the boulevard's main stage. The atmosphere is joyful, creative, and deeply community-rooted — Taiwanese Pride is celebrated with genuine warmth and pride.
Late October in Taipei is ideal — temperatures around 25°C, lower humidity than summer, and the city's night markets, temples, and mountain hiking all in prime condition. Pride weekend fills the city with visitors from across Asia and beyond.
Taipei Pride 2026 is expected on the last Saturday of October (31 October 2026). Exact date to be confirmed — check twpride.org. The parade starts at Ketagalan Boulevard and marches through central Taipei.
