Fierté Montréal 2026

Montreal, Canada

Official website →

The Festival

Fierté Montréal transforms the Village along Rue Sainte-Catherine Est into a pedestrianised festival zone for over a week in August — one of the great Pride festivals of North America. The combination of Québécois warmth, outstanding food culture, and a deeply rooted LGBTQ+ community makes it exceptional.

The Parade

The Fierté Montréal Pride Parade marches through the city's central avenues, drawing hundreds of thousands of participants and spectators in a celebration that blends political Pride with the city's characteristically festive spirit.

Village Festivities

The Village is closed to cars during the festival, with outdoor stages, food stalls, and community spaces filling Rue Sainte-Catherine. The neighbourhood's bars and clubs run special programming throughout the week, and the Parc des Faubourgs hosts the main outdoor concert stage.

Montréal in August

August in Montréal is warm and lively — the city's peak summer festival season, with outdoor terrasses in full swing and the famous Montréal food scene at its best. Book accommodation early as the city is busy throughout summer.

Notes

Fierté Montréal 2026 runs July 31 to August 9, centred as always on Rue Sainte-Catherine Est in Le Village. The festival includes outdoor concerts on the Village main stage, the Community Day family-friendly programming, the Political Forum, Fierté Accessible events for people with disabilities, and the signature Pride Parade on the final weekend. The theme and headliner programme for 2026 are announced progressively on the official website through the spring.

The festival week coincides with peak summer season in Montreal — warm temperatures, long daylight hours, and the pedestrianised Village at its liveliest. Accommodation in Le Village books out early; reserve well in advance of the July start date. The Black & Blue circuit party weekend, while separate from Fierté Montréal, takes place in October and is a popular companion trip for visitors planning a Montreal queer travel circuit.
