Winter Pride is Maspalomas's second Pride of the year — a week-long celebration in November that kicks off the Canary Islands' winter sun season. Where May's Maspalomas Pride is one of Europe's biggest Pride parties, Winter Pride is more laid-back: the same sunshine and the same venues, but with a friendlier, less frantic feel. The 2026 edition runs from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 November.
Everything revolves around the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés, a four-storey open-air commercial centre that turns into the island's gay nightlife hub after dark. Its bars, clubs and drag cabarets host the bulk of the Winter Pride programme, from welcome parties and shows to late-night club events. Most of it is free to wander between, with ticketed parties for the bigger nights.
The week builds to the Pride walk on Saturday, a colourful afternoon procession through Playa del Inglés followed by parties back at the Yumbo. Expect a mix of locals, long-stay winter residents and visitors from across northern Europe.
Days are for the beach. The Maspalomas dunes and the gay section of the beach (around kiosk 7) are a short bus or taxi ride from Playa del Inglés, and November temperatures typically sit in the mid-20s °C — warm enough for swimming when most of Europe has turned grey.
Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) has direct flights from most European capitals, and Playa del Inglés is around 30 minutes' drive south. Staying near the Yumbo puts you in walking distance of everything; gay-friendly and men-only resorts are scattered across Playa del Inglés and Maspalomas. November is the start of high season, so it's worth booking ahead.
Winter Pride Maspalomas 2026 runs Monday 2 – Sunday 8 November, centred on the Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés. The main Pride walk is expected on Saturday 7 November in the afternoon. Full programme and tickets at winterpride.com.
