Rainbow Games is Aotearoa New Zealand's LGBTQ+ multi-sport event, held every two years in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Run by the Pacific Rainbow Games Trust, it bills itself as the largest rainbow sporting event ever staged in New Zealand. Rainbow athletes and allies compete across sports from netball and touch to swimming, tennis and tenpin bowling.
Rainbow Games 2026 runs 29 October – 1 November in Auckland and is the second edition, after the inaugural Games in 2024. Athlete registrations have closed. Tickets for the Opening Ceremony are available at rainbowgames.co.nz.
