Atlanta Pride is the South's biggest LGBTQ+ celebration and one of the largest Prides in the United States. Held every October to coincide with National Coming Out Day on 11 October, it fills Piedmont Park, Atlanta's equivalent of Central Park, with more than 350,000 people over a weekend of music, community and protest. The 2026 edition, the 57th, took place on 10–11 October.
The free festival in Piedmont Park runs from 10am to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday, with stages of live music and DJs, a large marketplace of vendors and community organisations, and food and drink throughout. It's a genuinely mixed crowd, from families and first-timers to the wider Southern queer community travelling in from across the region.
Saturday features community marches, including the Trans March and the Dyke March, which put Pride's protest roots front and centre. Sunday's parade is the largest in the city, winding through Midtown to Piedmont Park with community groups, businesses, performers and floats.
The weekend closes with the Starlight Cabaret, billed as the largest outdoor drag show in the country. It's a fitting finale in a city with one of America's strongest drag scenes.
Fly into Hartsfield-Jackson (ATL) and take MARTA to Midtown in about 30 minutes; the Midtown and Arts Center stations are both a short walk from Piedmont Park. Staying in Midtown puts you within walking distance of the festival and the gay bars around 10th and Piedmont. Pride weekend is one of the busiest of the year, so book early.
Atlanta Pride 2026, the 57th annual festival, took place on 10–11 October in Piedmont Park. The festival ran 10am–10pm both days, with marches on Saturday and the parade on Sunday 11 October, followed by the Starlight Cabaret.
